Comparative studeis of using electrodialysis, solvent extraction and ion exchange for the production of selected Re compounds
The aim of this WP 4 is to conduct comparative studies using techniques such as: electrodialysis, solvent extraction (researched in the earlier WPs) and ion exchange (developed in the previous works in the Ł-IMN). The WP 4 will be divided into two main tasks. The first task will distinguish the best methods for obtaining perrhenic acid and other rhenium compounds under comparable conditions while using different methods.
The methods will be selected basing on the yields of the processes, process conditions, profitability of the technology, equipment which needed to be used, their availability and price, and above all the ecological aspects - in terms of the possibilities of waste management of the technologies developed during the research. As a part of the subsequent activities, mass balances of the previously selected techniques for obtaining specific compounds will be made, which will allow for the process to be transferred more efficiently to a larger scale in the future.
